We asked developers in Eastern Visayas if they believe that it is okay for AI developers to use any data (e.g. images, text) obtained through any means (e.g. web scraping, scanning), regardless of whether permission was obtained or not from the author of the data, for use in training AI models. Less than half say that they have a neutral stance on the issue. Among those with stances, there are slightly more developers who agree that it is okay for AI developers to use any data set for training AI models than those who do not.

We asked developers in Eastern Visayas if they believe that AI art is art and that works generated by generative AI tools can be copyrighted. Less than half of them take a neutral stance. For those with stances on the issue, almost a half of them agree while the rest do not.
